I'm currently treating my skin to a brilliant new Dermalogica skincare system, researched and developed by The International Dermal Institute. It's protective, regulates melatonin and reduces pigmentation so ideal for summer, plus reduces redness and provides a smooth finish before applying make up.
I love outdoor editorials in the garden, fields, mountains, woods, in the snow and on the beach. This beautiful editorial from Vogue China is from way back in September 2011, featuring Du Juan wearing Chanel, Marni, Loewe and Balenciaga in a refined, natural palette. The Chinese supermodel is photographed by Stockton Johnson on the lush, green Moganshan Mountain in the Zhejiang Province.
Festival season is almost upon us! Magazines/ papers/ social feeds are filled from Coachella in April right through to Bestival in September with who played where and who wore what - and there seems to be more and more every year. I love festivals: I've been to Leeds, V, Secret Garden Party, Reading, the now-defunct Big Chill, Lovebox, T in the Park, Truck, Wireless, Hop Farm and Latitude... and this year I'm going to Glastonbury for the first time!
I'm excited but also slightly nervous as it seems intimidatingly full on; 200,000 is a lot of people and five days is a long time to be in a little tent. When I'm back from Asia I'll start thinking about what to pack alongside these top ten festival essentials.
Luxury French fashion accessory site Monnier Frères is running a secret bag sale from Monday 18 May – Friday 22 May, with huge savings on 200 gorgeous designer handbags. My readers can get an exclusive 55% off the listed products, so there's no excuse not to take a look...
Here's what I wore to the Boat Race last month: a nautical breton stripe and navy dress from Petit Bateau, comfortable Nike trainer wedges for walking up and down the Thames to find a good spot, my cheap and cheerful Topshop shades, old blue H&M jacket I loved so much as a teenager I bought it in three colours, patent croc M&S bag and matching red lips.
I figured wearing both Cambridge and Oxford shades of blue was nice and neutral. It was a lovely Saturday out in Putney: blustery along the river but bright April sunshine, seeing the women at the same time complete the same distance for the first year (go girls!) and bottles of cider. There's nothing quite like those first few spring weekends in London.
The Nails Inc Gel Effect is the best gel style nail varnish I've ever tried. Since the Debenhams beauty press day last month, where I went away with a bottle of the new pale pink Chiltern Street colour, I've worn pretty much nothing else on my fingers and toes.
On a recent Tuesday evening we made the trip down to the Fulham end of King's Road for dinner at a lovely gastropub and restaurant called The Imperial, which has just celebrated its first birthday. The decor is beautiful: a classic Victorian pub with high ceilings and large windows brought to life with modern interiors, chic statement lighting, exposed bricks and rustic, wooden tables. And, most importantly, some jolly good food.
I love my vivid croc leather Furla tote, hot pink Kate Spade bag and bright azure blue one to brighten up a simple outfit - I probably don't need another neon handbag but if I did, the Bryant Park mini bucket bag from DKNY would be top of my list. Made from bright sunshine yellow saffiano leather, with a top handle, feet to protect the base (so important - I wish all handbags had feet) press stud fastening and drawstring top and tassel embellishments.
The new limited edition Rêve Enchanté from French luxury jewellers Van Cleef & Arpels is a fresh, light, floral fragrance following in the steps of the first Rêve eau de parfum in 2013, inspired by blossoming cherry trees. The head notes of sweet pear move to warm, sun-kissed neroli, refreshing clementine, delicate water jasmine and soft peach blossoms in the heart notes. The green finish from lily-of-the-valley gives the perfume a long-lasting fresh scent perfect for spring.
Brindisa in Borough Market is one of my favourite restaurants in the whole city - nay, the world - when I used to live in London Bridge I used to go so often we were on first name terms with the staff, had "the usual" favourites and always got a good table, fast. I love that place, so when I heard about a special lunch menu at the sister branch, Tramontana in Shoreditch, I knew I had to try it out.
This timeless, wanderlust-inspiring Far & Away editorial from the May 2015 issue of Vogue China, featuring Russian model Sasha Luss photographed by Boo George, makes me want to hit the road. Dreamy.
This is a pretty default outfit for weekends at home: a simple dress to throw on without thinking about coordination, black opaque tights (most days September-April), trainers or easy-to-walk-in heels for cycling around town ticking things off my to-do list and a cross-body bag (to make said cycling even easier). And I spend most of my Saturdays and Sundays wandering around London looking at walls and taking photos of graffiti too, so this photo in Shoreditch is pretty representative.
