Spring colours are taken from the sweetie jar, with an explosion of bright candy colours from neon coral, girly pink and zesty lime green on the catwalk. British brand L.K. Bennett has some delicious pieces in store this season. |

FEBRUARY INSTAGRAM PHOTOS
February was a blurry hectic mess of moving back to London, squeezing in about twenty too many flat viewings, catch up dinners in nice restaurants, moving into a new flat, visiting the fashion trade show Pure London, a fantastic classical music concert at the Barbican and just settling back into the big smoke.
1. Magnificent evening spent with Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov, Bizet, Strauss, Ravel and Mascagni with Ji Liu on piano at the Barbican Centre 2. move over Shourouk, Fenella is here 3. fresh in town, Shoreditch 4. mixed pink tulips from mon frère 5. over the rainbow with Sonia Rykiel in Paris 6. afternoon tea with the Cambridge Satchel Company founder at their Covent Garden store 7. cocktails at the Petit Bateau Shoreditch pop-up launch event 8. Liberty London in the sunshine 9. Luxury leather handbags by Rusi Designs
1. London calling! At St Pancras after coming back from Paris 2. floral prints galore from contemporary Dutch label PIT 3. the Warehouse Oxford Street store launch event 4. the first day of spring at Green Park 5. les filles de Petit Bateau at Pure 2014 6. good old Shoreditch (in case you can't see it: WANTED: this dog. Ate my burger drank my pint. Just want to congratulate him on a job well done.) 7. Friday night drinks at one of my favourite buildings in London, The Royal Exchange 8. new HR Higgins tea in my new house 9. nice British dinner at Boyds Brasserie and Bar

MIRANDA KERR FOR H&M
I walked past the Oxford Circus H&M store yesterday and saw a lifesize Miranda Kerr looking down from the windows in the new Spring 2014 campaign wearing cool, casual separates in grey, salmon pink and black including sports-inspired leather look shorts and slouchy luxe sweatpants with some killer black sandals. These four looks are head-to-toe perfection. Great summery Californian video too.

BLUE AND GREEN, BLACK AND CREAM
Much like navy and black or red and pink, I'm rather partial to clashing different shades of blues and greens (and so loved Richard Nicoll's latest collection at London Fashion Week this February, featuring every shade of blue from baby to teal).

GUESS SPRING 14 COLLECTION CAMPAIGN
GUESS has released photos of the new spring 2014 accessories collection, with a sunny Miami vibe and a touch of the American brand's signature 50s feel to it. The campaign featuring chunky totes, bright colours, beach waves, tanned limbs and a nice pair of blue mirror shades.

FIVE YEAR ANNIVERSARY
Crikey, this only seems like yesterday. I've been with my boyfriend five years today so we're celebrating by going for dinner at Brasserie Chavot, the new-ish contemporary French restaurant on Conduit Street by award-winning, Michelin-starred chef Eric Chavot, after champagne at the Luggage Room, the speakeasy-style cocktail bar on Grosvenor Square. I like any excuse to celebrate, but this evening we actually have a reason!

NEON PINK NAILS INC
Quite possibly the most inexpensive way to update your look, add a bright pop of colour this spring with Nails Inc's new neon pink Notting Hill Gate shade. It has a slightly coral colour to it, on the fresh, orange side of pink and looks great in two layers over a base polish and finished with a glossy top coat.

KENNETH JAY LANE CRYSTAL EARRINGS
I've had my eye on Kenneth Jay Lane's gold plated glass crystal drop earrings (I stepped away from my beloved silver for a change) for a while and treated myself last week as The Outnet's famous clearance sale went live.
I like big statement earrings, but I can't handle heavy weights on my ears, so these are clip-ons. I feel about seven again, only a little bit chicer... Did you pick up anything in the 85% off sale?

BOARD GAMES
For six weeks this spring, Selfridges is exploring fashion's enduring crush on skate and surf by celebrating board culture and its influence on contemporary fashion, from world exclusive limited edition designer decks to the best streetwear.
Selling backpacks, logo tees, statement sweats and relaxed silhouettes from brands like Maje and Acne, the campaign brings together sports-inspired fashion and 1,000 skateboards designed by the likes of Christian Louboutin, Mawi, Givenchy, Yohji Yamamoto and Stella McCartney.
The department store is also hosting a skate park open to all on 27 March in the Old Selfridges Hotel. My fifteen year old self just squealed for joy - see you at the half pipe.

MEET ME AT THE DINER
An oldie but a goodie (I do love digging around the internet for great editorials) from the March 2012 issue of Glamour UK - a retro, 50s-inspired shoot with nipped-in waists, voluminous skirts backcombed hair and ladylike heels (socks optional). Add a cute Teddy Boy (or two) and you're ready to roll.

BRETON STRIPE DRESS
This breton stripe sleeveless number from Petit Bateau is the perfect summer dress. Made in good quality jersey cotton, with a full skirt and finished with a pretty satin ribbon bow at the waist, I've fallen for the feminine cut and classic navy and white stripes. Plus it has invisible side pockets. Sold.
The 121 year old French brand revisits the iconic marinière stripes every season, re-inventing it with contrast patch pockets or a smart white shirt collar, as a preppy red and white blazer in heavy jersey or a pastel orange pleated skirt and casual t-shirt dress. And, of course, the ultimate wardrobe essential: the breton stripe tee.

KARL LAGERFELD CAMO
Today I'm wearing this short-sleeved (because after this weekend, I'm pretty much rolling out my summer wardrobe now - London in the warm spring sunshine is glorious) camo Karl Lagerfeld dress.
I had not one but TWO pairs of camouflage combats in the late 90s due to my obsession with All Saints and I had steered clear of the print since then until I bought this dress on The Outnet last summer.
Since moving back from Paris to Londres last month, I have no internet, so please excuse my blog absence and the fact that I'm using six month old, pre-shoulder-length-haircut photos here. I'll update you with plenty of posts after the internet finally arrives in my new flat...
