Serbian, London-based designer Roksanda Ilincic is one of my favourites. Her modern designs are the right balance of elegant, colourful and unique. She often plays around with classic, feminine shapes and dressy fabrics by interpreting them in a fresh way, adding pops of bold contrast details and colour blocking brights.
The neon pink contrast peter pan collar pops against the school dress-inspired grey check material, a prim and proper shape with a cinched in waist and full, gathered skirt, finished off with a classhing chunky zip at the back.

Nodding to sports luxe in this simple black and white get up with my DKNY Pointelle Knit Sweater, with its knitted, mesh-like hole sleeves and full on sportswear in the form of Nike Dunk Hi Wedges, which I can't stop wearing... Wedged trainers are too comfortable for their own good, I have four pairs now.

Isabel Marant is focusing on ankle boots this Fall/ Winter 2013, in mixed textures of calf hair, leather and suede in cream, black and, exclusive to NET-A-PORTER, anthracite grey.
Like the French designer's cult wedge trainer which kickstarted the heeled high top sneakers trend across the world, there's a concealed wedge (coming in at a comfortable 4 inches) and a nod to the sports luxe trend with velcro fastening straps across the front. Another covetable pair of fresh, modern shoes - chapeau, Ms Marant.

Luxury Thai beauty brand Erb has been chosen by the Royal Thai Embassy to take part in a month-long festival at Harrods called Thailand, a Celebration of Colour and Light. The pop up is open until next Saturday 31 August, so there are still a few days to try out some of the luxurious skincare and beauty products and book in a treatment (including complementary express massages).
Erb is showcasing sixteen hero products from the certified organic home spa range, including body serums, creams, tonics, scrubs and haircare enriched with natural plant ingredients and herb extracts. I'm looking forward to giving some a go...
I'm currently sat with a big mug of my favourite pick-me-up from luxury tea company Harp & Lyre. I've been trying four variations of their signature blends, the strong-tasting, full-bodied 100% Assam suitable for mornings and the lighter, fragrant 100% Darjeeling - Gold Star Winner at the Great Taste Awards 2011 and 2012 - for afternoon and evenings, in both loose leaf tea and teabags (the bags are made from a biodegradable sheer woven mesh which is much better than ordinary filter paper that contains smaller grades of ‘dust’ tea).

It's been a good summer for Helena Bonham-Carter; she played Elizabeth Taylor in the BBC's Burton and Taylor drama alongside the equally-excellent Dominic West, is also starring in Gore Verbinski's upcoming The Lone Ranger and looked mighty fine covering the July issue of British Vogue.

You could never not be cheerful wearing this dress. Moschino's sister line Cheap & Chic is known for its fun, quirky designs, playful prints and bright colours, all of which are rolled into this black crepe and bold pink Swan Print Tunic Dress from the Autumn/ Winter 2013 collection. I love it.

I'm spending the weekend exploring Normandy, staying at the beautiful and secluded Le Clos des Fontaines on the banks of the Seine river, before visiting Rouen, Dieppe and some small coastal towns. Enjoy the bank holiday!

The Pirelli calendar is such a great bit of marketing. I don't drive (yet; I'm halfway through lessons) and I don't really follow Formula 1 so have no interest in tyres, yet I have an affinity with the Italian brand because of their cool annual calendars, featuring some of the most beautiful women in the world shot by celebrated photographers.

I'm more of a shoes girl than a handbag hoarder, (especially not "It Bags", it's so unimaginative buying the same as everyone else [which is my main problem with Zara]) but my favourite handbag design has to be Givenchy's sleek structured Antigona handbag.
photo from Song of Style
If money was no object, after writing this I'd close my laptop and cycle over to Selfridges on Oxford Street to pick up a medium-sized leather Antigona from the French powerhouse. You know, just as a little weekday pick-me-up treat. However, they're £1,000+ and I don't seem to be able to save up for one... Hopefully one day I will, but in the meantime: which colour?

I started July in our beautiful rented villa in Corfu, spending the first week swimming and getting some sunny R&R before coming back to London for plenty of AW13 press shows (River Island and La Redoute being two favourites), some bike rides before the big Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 in August, Jay-Z at Wireless, a cycle-in cinema screening of Belleville Rendez-Vous at the Herne Hill velodrome on a balmy summer's evening, watching as much of Wimbledon as possible and a long weekend in Paris for the Tour de France finish.

I visited York this weekend and went into the Goldsmiths store there to spend a voucher - I chose a sterling silver plaited chain bracelet from the high street jewellers' own label Argent, which looks nice and simple on its own or great stacked with my multiple other 925 bracelets and bangles.
Here are some other pieces of sterling silver arm candy from the inexpensive brand which caught my eye... Stack 'em up.

Made.com has a great selection of practical, industrial-style storage units in modern metals, from brass to bright paint finishes. There's a set of classic storage trunks in glossy hand-sprayed steel, an apothecary-style sideboard made from aged brass for a vintage look, a freight-inspired container storage side table in bright buttercup yellow and a chunky iron coffee table with handy drawers and a heavy wooden surface.

Miu Miu has a stellar line up of models and supers for its Autumn/ Winter 2013 campaign, including Adriana Lima, Daphne Groeneveld, Georgia May Jagger, Emily Di Donato, Lindsey Wixson shot, Hind Sahli, Katlin Aas and Marina Nery shot in New York by the wonderful Inez & Vinoodh. The aesthetic is very Miu Miu and as soon as I saw the campaign photography, it could only be Muicca's work. The accompanying video is great too.

Here I'm wearing one of the dresses I bought from & Other Stories when its Regent Street flagship store opened a few months ago; rainbow print on one side and all sorts of stripes and patterns on the other. Topped up with my black fringed Mellow Yellow suede ankle boots I bought in Paris last month, my studded leather handbag and silver jewellery, as always.

I bought my brother a hot air balloon ride for his 30th birthday with Virgin Balloon Flights so one Saturday morning a few months ago, we woke up at an ungodly hour to travel to Guildford for our flight.
We were very fortunate with the weather - most of the people I know who've done it had their first couple of attempts cancelled due to high winds or rain. We turned up in a frozen field to watch them set it up and were quickly up, up and away.

Rihanna has joined forces with River Island once again for another collaborative collection, this time for Autumn/ Winter 2013, launching 12 September. The campaign shoot is cool, featuring up-and-coming models Ji Hye Park, Nayasha Kusakina, Milou Van Grossen and Tati Cotliar, shot by Lachlan Bailey, styled by Mel Ottenberg and directed by the superstar singer herself.
Glorious Goodwood is an annual five day racing event in the West Sussex countryside, dubbed one of the sporting and social highlights of the summer. A day at the races drinking Pimms and Champagne and eating strawberries and cream in fabulous frocks on the grass is a summer must in England. Goodwood is dubbed the most beautiful racecourse and it attracts the very best in international horseracing, so this was my fourth visit now. It's a lovely place.

On Thursday I visited Ponti's Italian Kitchen for a tasting evening to sample its 50th anniversary menu. The small chain of family-run restaurants from the Emilia Romagna region in Italy is celebrating its fifty years with a selection of simple, classic and inspired Italian dishes; all of which were good. I can't believe I hadn't discovered this little gem before; a spacious and relaxed haven smack, bang in the middle of town, only twenty metres from the hustle and bustle of Oxford Circus.

Sarah Jessica Parker fronts the September issue of American Harper's Bazaar this month, looking fabulous and happy wearing glamorous Gucci, Chanel and Oscar de la Renta dresses. Love the shoot, love that woman.

One of my favourite things about summer is barbecues. All summer long, please. I have a roof terrace so fire up my BBQ and invite friends round as often as possible, while the warm weather lasts.
I take all my crockery (mismatched, of course, I don't have more than six multiples of anything in my kitchen) outside, mix up some Pimms, fill the fridge with Cotes-de-Provence rosé and chilled Chablis, get making a salad, seasoned chicken drumsticks and my favourite chicken, pepper, mushroom and halloumi skewers and let the boys do the sausages and burgers.

British supermodel (yes, I think we can grant her that title now, she is everywhere) Cara Delevingne fronts yet another Autumn/ Winter 2013 campaign, this time for Pepe Jeans. I'm not a denim lover, or much of a fan of really casual dressing for that matter, but this shoot photographed by Josh Olins and styled by Clare Richardson in London is the right side of laidback, androgynous dressing.
Sales of BB creams must go through the roof during spring and summer, as our skin's needs change with the seasons and we opt for multi-functional products ideal for packing light on holiday. For the past few months I have been relying on REN's Satin Perfection BB Cream with SPF15, mineral UVA, UVB and anti-oxidant protection.
It blends easily with its colour adaptive technology (natural pigments which adapt to different skin tones), has the light consistency of a tinted moisturiser, offers natural, lightweight coverage and leaves skin looking dewy and glowing. Give it a go.

The Autumn/ Winter 2013 collection from Marks & Spencer has certainly shaken things up. The new Style Director, ex-Jaeger Belinda Earls, has re-invigorated the womenswear offering with the British retailer's most directional collection for years.

The collections are split into capsules called Modern Elegance, London Calling, Wild Opulence, Femme Fatale and Dark Drama featuring chic workwear, modern LBDs, big statement jewellery, clean 60s-style monochrome, opulent brocade, 40s-inspired tweed tailoring, oxblood red, party season sequins, electric blue, bold animal print, 80s-style punky tartans and checks, soft suede, glossy leather and feminine, fluffy mohair knitwear. Here are a few of my favourite pieces; I'll certainly be picking up a few when they hit stores.

Italian fashion label Etro has has delivered on fall footwear. It may only be early August, but the September issues have dropped so thoughts turn to autumnal dressing and these ankle boots are perfect for the upcoming season.
Glossy black, quilted khaki green and metallic pewter leathers sit atop a sturdy heel and chunky walking boot sole. A future classic of my shoes collection, I can see it already.

Today I'm going to Glorious Goodwood because one simply must go to the races at least once a year and I prefer the Goodwood crowd and beautiful racecourse. Pictured here the last time I went two years ago, celebrating our winnings. Fingers crossed for more good luck.
