REGENTS PARK PICNIC

REGENTS PARK PICNIC

Ahhh summer.  It already seems like months ago...  One of my favourite things to do is going to my favourite place in London, Regent's Park, with some food, fizz and friends for a couple of hours in the sun.  We spent a lot of time in the park this year with friends and family, including with my adorable baby nephew, as well as walking home from work with my boyfriend catching Pokémon, watching sports teams, birthday picnics, frolicking dogs and little kids playing.

These photos were taken back in sunny September with my bestie, a picnic hamper, blanket and bottle of champagne.  Perfect Sunday afternoon!  We had a classic tartan picnic blanket just like this when I was a kid, kept in the car boot for when inspiration struck.  This one is from Wool Blanket Online, made in Britain in a soft, pure wool Royal Stewart tartan (the Queen's tartan, dontcha know) and tied up with a handy carry strap.  I'm wearing this black lace dress, my Jigsaw straw panama hat and probably the last SPF of the year.  Now onto traditional autumn rituals...
