I recently attended the John Lewis Spring/Summer 2013 press day and fell in love with Alice Temperley's second Somerset collection.

The new SS13 Somerset by Alice Temperley line of feminine, everyday pieces incorporates plenty of trends; the British designer nods to 1940s French Riviera with striped nautical tailoring in navy and white, features 1970s tile prints on silk satin playful loose-fitting separates and, of course, her signature vintage lace, embroidery and elegant beading.

The cornflower blue and ivory floral tile print pieces are my favourite and embody Temperley's easy-luxe, bohemian style perfectly for summer.  Then there's the glamorous 1920s, Great Gatsby-esque gowns; elaborate beading and sequin embellishment decorate luxurious fabrics in a classic, muted colour palette.  Perfect wedding guest dresses.
