A couple of weeks ago I went to the launch event for the lifestyle brand
RE's new store in
Liberty. RE was created in 2003 by Simon Young and Jenny Vaughan in a converted garage in Northumberland and they have been selling rare, recycled and fair trade
homewares and
accessories ever since.

After a pop-up concession last year, the brand returned to
Liberty in March 2012 with a permanent store on the 4th floor. The space is zoned into eat, cook, outdoor, utility, living and office areas and stocks an inspiring mixture of second hand, antique and new pieces of dinnerware, unusual furniture, beautiful textiles and vintage garden tools.

"We hope to spread colour, pattern and joy!" say the founders,
"today's home owners are more 'nomadic', they create a home out of whatever they want, out of the new, the old, the second hand, the mass produced and the hand crafted. It's been our RE philosophy since day one."
