Everybody loves the Philippe Starck for Kartell Louis Ghost chair, don't they? The design classic appeals to all sorts of interior design tastes, from those who prefer the full on, out and out minimalist style to those who want to add a modern touch to a room.
Philippe Starck's take on the Louis XVI armchair is stripped back to its simplest shape, made from strong injection-moulded plastic and comes in an array of colours, but I'd like to buy a pair of simple, clear versions in my next flat. The French designer has a knack for designing cult products, spanning interiors to consumer goods and also undertakes architecture and design work for hotels, bars and restaurants such as Le Paradis du Fruit Roots in Paris and Asia de Cuba in London.
