At this time of year, I like to ramp up my skincare routine, as the cold winds and change in temperature coming out of heated places into the cold wreaks havoc with my skin.  Even my hands feel dry and I'm a serial hand lotion-applier...

My hair's the same - cool weather and central heating don't mix - so I'm currently treating my hair to some intensive products courtesy of James Brown to fix thermal damage and enhance shine.

The sought-after hairdresser to the stars (clients include Sarah Jessica Parker, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kylie Minogue, Mr and Mrs Beckham and BFF Kate Moss) knows a thing or two about hair. He's worked in the industry since 1994 when he shot to fame aged 22 as the youngest hairdresser to shoot the cover of Vogue and launched his own line of hair products in 2009.

The award-winning James Brown London range of products of shampoos, conditioners, treatments and styling products promise to transform dull, lifeless hair into sheer, soft sleekness.

The High Gloss Shampoo and High Gloss Conditioner feel thick, luxurious and seemed to have breathed life back into my hair; it feels smooth thanks to milk proteins, more manageable from the murumuru butter and super glossy.  Check them out, and the new Hair Care kits released in time for the party season, if you want salon perfect hair at home.
