A couple of weeks ago I received an exciting parcel containing dresses from a sweet vintage-inspired womenswear label called Jarlo.  As the London weather hasn't allowed the wearing of summery little dresses lately, I took a pretty pale blue and pink floral dress to warmer climes in Valencia and wore it visiting La Ciudad de las Artes y de las Ciencas.

The City of Arts and Science is a massive entertainment and cultural complex in the former Túria river bed which runs through the centre of the city, designed by Valencian architect Santiago Calatrava in 2005.

The construction is very modern, very large (2km), surrounded by bridges and lots of water and it's very striking indeed.  It houses - amongst museums, concert halls and beautiful gardens - L'Oceanogràfic, the largest aquarium in Europe where we went to say ¡hola! to beluga whales, sharks, seals, jellyfish, penguins, dolphins and myriad fishes.
