One of those wardrobe big hitters in permanent rotation this summer is this printed jersey dress from Joules, which I've been taking from the drying rack to wear again straightaway since I got it. It slips on, the navy print goes with everything and has a nice swirly full skirt so feels elegant even with white trainers. Here I'm wearing it with red accessories and bright red lipstick for lunch with a friend in the sun.
The Selma bag by Michael Kors is a bit of a modern day icon; the best-selling it-bag has been seen on every street and blog over the past couple of years, and I finally took the plunge courtesy of Vestiaire Collective. I went for the large tote in a glossy red Saffiano leather, which is big enough to carry the usual British summer staples (cardigan, sunglasses and umbrella) along with all my other daily essentials, whilst its structural trapeze shape keeps it looking chic. I'm also wearing strappy suede Zara pumps, classic Ray Ban Wayfarers and gold jewellery to match the logo and hardware.
