For breakfast this week I've been trying out Cuckoo, a delicious new take on traditional Swiss bircher muesli, developed for adventurous palates with innovative varieties. The healthy, on-the-go pots are filled with fruit compotes, British jumbo oats, creamy yoghurt and crunchy linseeds and are all natural, low GI and calorie, suitable for vegetarians and high in plenty of fibre and protein.
There are five flavours to choose from: elderflower & cranberry with a blueberry and blackcurrant compote, mango & coconut with a lime twist and ginger, apricot & Madagascan vanilla with tangy raspberry, dark chocolate & sour cherry (my favourite) and apple & cinnamon spice.

Last week my mama was visiting over her birthday for a few days of nice dinners and exhibitions, so I took her to see the fabulous circus show Scotch & Soda at the Spiegeltent on the Southbank. I've seen quite a few cabaret shows like these over the years - I love the mix of live music and circus acts from trapeze, contortion, dance and acrobatics and this one is particularly mindblowing. The human body is amazing.

The newly revamped Atterley - formerly Atterley Road - has plenty of polka dots at the moment, including this big bold black and white print dress. The slightly oversized fit and flare shape ends at the knee with cuffed bracelet sleeves. Pair with simple heels and keep accessories to a minimum for easy statement dressing.

I have a thing for metallic fashion editorials, like this Vogue Japan one from February 2009 featuring the beautiful Ethiopian model Liya Kebede, styled by George Cortina and photographed by Daniel Jackson. Shot in black and white, high contrast and super shiny, it makes me want to reach for sequins, glossy patent leather and shimmery make up...

During our stay at the Intercontinental in Hong Kong we went for an impressive lunch at the 2 Michelin-starred Cantonese restaurant Yan Toh Heen, which has been called one of the finest Chinese restaurants in the world. At the helm of the kitchen is Executive Chef Lau Yiu Fai who uses refined, traditional cooking methods with the best ingredients and fresh seasonal products from around the world to create Cantonese specialties served in a contemporary style. We spent a fantastic couple of hours sharing dishes and sipping Perrier-Jouët Champagne overlooking Victoria Harbour.

I'm heading back to Latitude Festival in Suffolk for the third time today and I can't wait: lots of live music, dance performances, outdoor theatre, great food, lake swimming, coloured sheep, a silent disco, woods lit with fairy lights, crafting, yoga and plenty of cider in beautiful Henham Park near Southwold. Yay. Have a good weekend!

This pretty printed dress from Saloni has caught my eye over on Net-A-Porter. The abstract multicoloured print in blue, red and white means it will go with pretty much everything in your wardrobe, it's 100% silk with a smart button up front, loose shape with a slightly flared A-line ruffle skirt and feminine nipped in waist. I daresay it's the perfect summer frock.

There's only one brand and one thing to wear on Bastille Day: Petit Bateau breton stripes! The French brand has been making the iconic navy blue and white - or white and blue - stripe marinière for decades. Made from 100% cotton, they wash well, go with everything and are a wardrobe essential for every woman. I have four and I'm sure my collection will continue to grow.
Today I'm wearing this white and navy version, but this is what I wore last week during the dreaded tube strike with shorts and trainers, like the rest of London. That was the only good thing about it - seeing hundreds of people cycling, running and walking their commute. Let's start a two-legged, two-wheeled revolution! (How very French.)

Earlier this week I attended the opening night of Christopher Wheeldon's modern production of Cinderella, performed by the Dutch National Ballet in association with Sadler's Wells. The British choreographer's fresh approach to the 19th century classic is accompanied by Prokofiev's dramatic score performed by the Royal Ballet Sinfonia and wonderful set design and costumes by Julian Crouch.

The spotlight is firmly on SW19 as the finals take place this weekend. I can't believe Wimbledon is already almost over for another year! This fab tennis-inspired editorial from Teen Vogue featuring bright whites, flippy skirts and sporty shoes; sports luxe at its sleekest.

I recently spent five days in LA - I went for a couple of days of work meetings and stayed the weekend - it's been five years since I was last in Los Angeles, so it was great to revisit a couple of favourites and discover lots of new places too. On the first day we walked around Manhattan Beach and had a lovely dinner at Fishing With Dynamite, the relaxed fish restaurant from chef David LeFevre (who's also behind the acclaimed Manhattan Beach Post next door) with a focus on oysters, classic and modern creative seafood dishes.

Last month I attended a fabulous event at Sea Containers in the Mondrian Hotel to celebrate Jimmy Choo's new modern floral, Illicit, launching this autumn. We watched a live performance from Sky Ferreira - the cool Cali rock chick fronting the campaign shot by Steven Klein in LA - tried out the new fragrance, chatted with the Creative Director Sandra Choi and had a few glasses of Champagne as the sun set over the Thames.
I'm a fan of the British brand's fragrances (last winter was all about Jimmy Choo Stars) which are usually quite sweet - this one is too: it's feminine and flowery but also confident, edgy and glamorous. Created by perfumer Anne Flipo, the eau de parfum opens with tangy bitter orange and ginger, softens into floral notes of rose and jasmine and moves onto a warm base of honey, amber and sandalwood, which lingers on your skin for hours.
Jimmy Choo Illicit EDP will be available from 31 August in 40ml, 60ml and 100ml

The latest additions to my collection of arm candy are two beautiful hand-decorated enamel and gold-plated bangles from luxury British goods brand Halcyon Days. The brand started as a small antiques shop in Mayfair in 1950 and has earnt three Royal Warrants over the years. Known for special occasion gifts like enamel boxes and fine bone china, Halycon Days launched its first collection of bangles in 2010 and also added silk scarves, cashmere throws and scented candles to their range.
I visited their Brook Street store and spent about an hour trying on all the different variations of their stackable hinged bracelets from delicate 1cm bangles to chunky 4cm statement cuffs. I went for two chain print skinny bangles in silver and rose gold to mix and match with the rest of my bracelets and I'm smitten.
My readers can take 13% off full price bangles with code ELL13 until 15 July - browse the range of SS15 bracelets here and treat yourself!
