Seventeen Make Up

Spending your pocket money on 17 cosmetics at Boots is a rite of passage for every British teenage girl, but that doesn't mean the brand should be left behind in your twenties and thirties.  I recently attended a press day to play with the new products and colours launching this autumn, along with the much-loved hero products and their make up bag essentials.

London beauty blogger Emma Louise Layla at the 17 make up press day

Their make up artist and ambassador Vanesa Guallar applied a few of her favourite products and I got to choose a couple of things to take home and try...  The Instant Glow cream bronzer does exactly what it says on the tin - tanned bronze creamy coverage good for contouring, low on the shimmer, so ideal for day - the CC Cream is a fantastic light base before applying concealer, blush and bronze, and the Gel Colour nail varnishes, whilst not quite lasting the 8 days they claim, do last longer than normal polishes.

The brown Brow Sculpting Pencil, precise High Drama liquid eyeliner and the chunky black Make Your Mark eyeliner pen are all long-lasting. The creamy Eye Eye crayon is easy to apply and blendable and the 17 Eyes eyeshadow in a gold-toned warm pink is an unusual shade which suits tanned summer skin.  Plenty of nice products to try, at even nicer prices.  Available in Boots stores and online here.
