ELVIRA VINTAGE

ELVIRA VINTAGE

Last week I attended the launch event for the first pop-up shop from vintage fashion boutique Elvira Vintage.

DJ Bassam Ibellini got the party started, we drank lychee Snow Queen vodka martinis and bopped around next to Tracy Emin, Gizzi Erskine and Jamelia whilst checking out the store's carefully chosen selection of clothes and accessories.

Founders Tori Steinberg and Sophie Scrimgeour lived in New York after graduating from Central St Martins and the Fashion Institute of Technology and were inspired by the high quality offering of vintage clothing in downtown NYC and Brooklyn.  The wanted to bring a similar approach to London, offering carefully selected unique period pieces and one-of-a-kind vintage items which mix well with a modern wardrobe, so the products fit in with current season trends for a wearable, contemporary take on vintage.

The pop-up runs until 31 December and if you're in the market for beautiful pre-owned pieces from designers such as ChanelYSL and Moschino, swing by 3 New Quebec Street, W1H 7RE.

I wore my new Halston Heritage Long Sleeve Wrap Dress, Aftershock black fur gilet, new Dixie studded leather bag, new Georgie Neon Heel Sling Backs bought in the Topshop sale and new hair by Schwarzkopf, but more on that later...
