BABY BLUE

I'm a sucker for bold make up looks, whether it's brightly dyed hair, sparkly eyeshadows, neon nails, dramatic eyeliner or a bright lip.

smudgy baby blue

I'm currently loving these blue looks - do you agree with the "blue eyes and blue eye make don't mix" rule?  I don't.

GO SPITALFIELDS

A few days ago, I was invited to visit GO in Spitalfields, a new Italian lunch place specialising in stone baked made-to-order pizzas and specialty breads for eat in or take away (for those on the GO, you see...).

WINTER WARMERS FROM WHITTARDS

Whittard of Chelsea, the don of the coffee and tea world since 1886, sent me some Luxury Hot Chocolate to try, so I conducted a taste test on a chilly December morning with two chocaholics and pleasing results!

I served it with hot, frothy milk and sprinkled chocolate on the top for an extremely indulgent alternative to mid-morning coffees.  It's creamy, rich (but not too sugary) and tastes even better if you've just come in from the cold outside...  The Breakfast Ground Coffee and English Breakfast Tea also come in pretty, decorative festive canisters too.

The gifts under £15 make perfect stocking fillers and the Christmas hampers are great for presents too.  Check the Christmas Gift Shop and save 20% off with code PUDDING before midnight 12/12/12! (Visit whittards.co.uk for T&Cs.)

SISLEY HANDBAGS

Sisley was born in Paris in 1968, starting with a denim collection and growing to produce men's and women's clothing and accessories.  Huge in its native France and owned by the massive Benetton Group, Sisley often goes under my radar as a perfectly nice brand which perhaps lacks innovation or a distinct style direction, but the collections are going from strength to strength lately; especially the accessories.

snakeskin Coralie Bowling Bag, black Demix Small Bugatti Bag, yellowy green Zenia Bag and quilted grey Small Emmie Shopping Bag

These four everyday handbags caught my eye, from the neutral taupe and versatile black to the yellow and tan bag perfect for brightening up outfits in spring...  When it comes.

BLUE VELVET

It's too cold for pumps, loafers or any shoes with a thin sole through which you can feel the icy pavement.  The winter months call for ankle boots (or wedged trainers. Must. Stop. Wearing...) and I'm smitten with my latest pair.

I make no secret of my love for English shoe designer Kat Maconie and there are always a couple of her pairs of shoes in my most wanted list and now I can cross these off. The blue velvet Camilla Boots feature a chunky gold tone side zip, soft leather lining, almond shaped toe and her signature block heel.

A GRAHAM & GREEN CHRISTMAS

It's approaching the time of year to turn to your home into a (very tasteful) Santa's grotto with pretty Christmas decorations, metallic trinkets, decorative crockery, "best" glassware and plenty of candles.  Who better to turn to than Graham & Green?

NOVEMBER RAIN

It's barely stopped raining this month, so I ordered my first pair of Hunter wellies thanks to new online shoe retailer Daniel Footwear so that I can happily stomp through London's numerous puddles and keep dry.

THE REINDEER NORWICH

A few weekends ago I visited Norwich for a couple of days and discovered a great gastropub called The Reindeer.  Owned by a brother and sister team, Dan and Kate, and headed up by Michelin-trained chef Simon Walton, the pub serves modern British food in an informal, unpretentious environment.

Leather isn't going anywhere; it's all over the catwalk, the high street and in every self-respecting fashionista's wardrobe. Dress it up in a sophisticated way with sporty separates for a masculine, relaxed look or tailored shapes suitable for the office.

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of being invited to see Forever Crazy, the new London show from Crazy Horse (which is the best night out in Paris!), starring our very own Kelly Brook.

SCHWARZKOPF LIVE COLOR XXL

Wash in/ wash out and semi-permanent hairdyes encourage cosmetic flippancy; if you want bright red hair one day, purple locks the next, neon pink then a nice pastel tint the week after, no one blinks an eye as the current trends for crazy hair have your back covered.

FRIDAY'S FFFFOUND: BELFAST

I'm off to the beautiful city of Belfast in Northern Ireland tomorrow morning for a weekend at The Culloden Estate and Spa.

I haven't been since November 2006 but I'm excited to be visiting again in the Titanic's centenary year and catching up with my BFF back from her travels... Have a good weekend, all!

FUR ANKLE BOOTS

Most girls I know are on the fence about fur ankle boots as they sometimes look a little, er, lady of the night.  But I think they can look the right side of sexy as long as you wear them with dark masculine clothes; head-to-toe all black, paired with skinny leather trousers or a short, smart tailored dress with black opaque tights.

These black leather Emma Boots by ASH are one of my favourite pairs I've seen (it seems like ASH is my favourite footwear brand at the moment), with multi buckle straps detail, platform heel, leather upper and fur trim.

WOULD YOU WEAR...

Moon Boots?  The retro shoes have a bit of a moment every winter, especially when Chanel does them in stylish monochrome, complete with signature chains and black fur trimmings.  But how about the ordinary versions?

Tecnica designed the iconic boots back in the early 70s as the best snow boots around perfect for skiing, icy snowstorms and living in wintry Scandinavia.  They're undeniably comfortable - I've only tried a pair on once, but they feel like they look: giant, comfy slippers - and certainly do the job in keeping your feet warm and dry...  I think I might treat myself for my next ski trip!
