Father's Day presents are so damn hard to get right.  My dad doesn't need or seem to want anything, doesn't have a wishlist and is always pretty difficult to buy for.  But here are three of my favourite Father's Day gift ideas I've seen.

McLaggan Daddy Rules mug (£8)
This fine bone china mug will brighten up any tea time. Dishwasher and microwave safe

Who doesn't like mugs?  He drinks tea and coffee; he's human.  Pretty failsafe, I reckon.

Hour Timer (£89.50)
Made from bobbins rescued from a Lancashire woollen mill, this lovely piece was expertly rehabilitated from Mark and Sally Bailey's Herefordshire farm.  The Baileys' eco-friendly 'rescue and re-use' principles breathe new life into old objects.

Who doesn't like objets?!  Men love having stuff like this in studies... He likes dark wood, I like recycled materials and the masculine, classic design should suit his home well.

De-Stress Muscle Kit (£45)
The new Aromatherapy Associates kit for men includes the highly acclaimed De-Stress Bath & Shower Oil (55ml) and De-Stress Muscle Gel (150ml).  Perfect for sportsmen, the powerful oil blends in each product are designed to relieve aching muscles and joints, making them ideal to use after a workout or a hard day in the office. The products include Herbaceous Lavender - a known analgesic that helps support tender muscles -  and Ginger and Black Pepper to warm and help boost circulation.

And thirdly, as he's a cycling and fitness fanatic, these wonderful-smelling products to help ease aches, strains, pains and sports injuries.

If he doesn't like these, he's not getting anything next year...
