ZOE LEE

ZOE LEE

One of the best discoveries of LFW was the latest kid on the luxury shoe label block, Zoe Lee.  The British designer learnt her craft with shoe king Manolo Blahnik and started at Vivienne Westwood 8 years ago, before launching her own footwear line.

The Central St Martins graduate hosted a launch party with Jasmine Guinness and Jade Parfitt to introduce the new AW2012 collection.  The event was held at Blacks on Dean Street in Soho, which I'd never been to before but the beautiful decor and old school members' club atmosphere suited the brand perfectly.

Zoe's collection was grown-up, self-assured and distinctly un-trend-led (yes, I did just say that) with vintage-inspired designs and touches of Victoriana and Edwardian style.  Lots of the designs featured durable, comfortable heel heights suitable for wearing all day in unique, textured leathers.  My favourite pair was the soft grey leather court shoes (above), embossed with small metallic polka dot detailing and decorated with bows.
