Highlights from Holly Fulton's SS11 Show

I like Holly Fulton, but I wasn't that keen on her latest LFW collection this morning for Autumn/ Winter 2011.

So instead, with an upcoming late summer holiday, I'm going to focus on the cheery, light SS10 collection from February.

Fresh, shiny, citric 60s dresses and art nouveau prints in icy blues, lemon sherbet, white and black lines.  Some of the long slinky gowns look seriously resortwear and seriously wearable.  Love the hairsprayed bouffants, heavy earrings and nude lips too.

LOVE the punched detail on this.  A heavily-patterned, brightly-coloured PVC dress in a retro fifties shape - why hasn't Katy Perry's stylist picked this up yet?

The art nouveau pattern on this delicate column dress reminds me of some antique earrings my mum used to wear when I was little.  I like the modern take on a classic style, with a respectfully refined 30s palette.

This is a great casual airport to resort look.  If only payday was BEFORE I'm going away...

Two of my most favouritest things when I was little; time to hit up eBay for a trip down My Little Pony lane....

To fuel my black and navy obsessions

I made a mammoth order last month of coveted but needless ASOS items.  Online shopping with free returns encourages lazy, flippant shopping decisions and a sizeable portion going back via Royal Mail, but these made the cut:

A padded shoulder, contrast top mini dress with cropped sleeves
The deep v-neckline and a bold cut away back add to the drama of this glamorous body-con design.

Slinky slash front dress with sexy crossover low back and tie belt detail
Soft fluid shape and strappy style makes it the perfect summer frock.

Channel this season’s penchant for fringing with this chic cover-up
Tiered, frayed design with classic scoop neckline.

Pretty cutesy stitching and I don't like girly hearts emblazoned everywhere, but I'm cool with this.

Soft jersey mini skirt with contrast waistband
Layered ruffles to hemline.

Lightweight polka dot pleats from stretchy waistband
Full cut style with repeat print.

Because what I need more of in my wardrobe is ASOS and navy, black, polka dots, dresses, skirts and cardigans.  I love these items but my predictable purchase patterns are getting boring!  Damn you ASOS.

Irwin & Jordan's silk-satin dress

The Outnet just sent their newsletter featuring, amongst other tempting items, this Irwin & Jordan silk-satin dress.  Too tempting to resist.

I often wear a baggy grey ruched jersey tee with something disco like a sequinned mini and love contrasting mismatched items; the masculine cut of the grey cotton jersey t-shirt top clashes perfectly with the unabashedly girly pink pleated satin.

Nice day-to-night piece, paired with patent black pumps until 5pm and black platform courts thereafter.  Messy bed hair and lashings of eyeliner and mascara compulsory.

Interpol show us how it's done

Interpol look slick as ever in the new Autumn/Winter Prada collection for Nowness.  There's an interview with accompanying shots by GQ photographer Ryan Pfluger taken in Transmitter Park, Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

The New York trio - after Carlos D's departure - will be hitting our shores again soon with their latest tour.  Unmissable live and I can't wait to hear them playing from their new album.
